Frequently asked questions
What happens if I forget to copy the secret value?
You won’t be able to retrieve it later. If you lose it, create a new client secret in Entra ID and update it in QRCodeChimp. It should be the same application, and the application number should match.
Which account type should I choose during registration?
Use Accounts in this organizational directory only – Single Tenant unless you have a specific use case that requires broader access.
Can I update or delete the app later?
Yes. You can go to App Registrations in Entra ID to manage or delete the app at any time. Note that deleting the application connected to QRCodeChimp will create a syncing problem.
Is this setup secure?
Yes, as long as you keep your client secret and credentials safe. Entra ID uses industry-standard security protocols.
